<\/a>Livestock<\/u> –
\nThe COF report was pretty uninspiring, coming in pretty close to expectations.\u00a0 With that in mind, early opening calls are probably nothing special.\u00a0 That said, I think the market was fearing<\/em> a more bearish report and the basis remains very wide.\u00a0 Combine that with a still-tight spot cash market and I think we\u2019ve got the ingredients for some upside this week in LC futures.<\/p>\n

Still, the heavy placements will keep all eyes on summer cattle supplies.\u00a0 Don\u2019t be surprised if the spreads grow wider in the near future as the market tries to balance nearby tightness with the \u201cmore later\u201d implied in recent COF reports.<\/p>\n
